Rolling Raspberries!

As usual I'm slow to update this, so we have lots of Ally news to share. For starters, she's started rolling over! We were quite excited when she first did this several weeks ago. Right now she rolls from her back to her belly. She prefers to roll to the right, but she can go left if she really wants to. It's fun to watch her roll to get what she wants. She has also combined rolling with an army 'crawl.' She uses her arms and pushed with her feet to scoot around on her play mat. She's gone a few feet a couple of times. The other day we had her in bed and she managed to turn herself and scoot about a foot over to Mike. When she got over to him, she buried her head into his arm and went right to sleep, it was very cute!
Ally has also learned to blow raspberries. Generally it just looks like spit bubbles, but she enjoys it. As a result, we have to keep a bib on her at all times because otherwise she'll soak her clothes. She has also taken to blowing raspberries into her food, which mommy does not appreciate quite as much. Food is also new in Ally's life. She has been eating solid food for one meal a day for the past week or so. Thus far, she has tried apples (liked them), sweet potatoes (liked them), squash (those were ok), bananas (LOVED them), and green beans (EWWWW). Though, to be fair, I fed her green beans right after the bananas. I was hoping that she wouldn't notice. At first she ate them, but after a few bites she was pushing the spoon away, spitting them out, and crying. Oh well, we'll try again tomorrow :)
A couple of weeks ago, Ally's great grandma came up from Florida to visit. They had a nice time together. Ally also got to meet Lisa's boyfriend Lee, though we didn't get any pictures of Ally and Lee.
Since it's football season, Ally has already been to a few of her daddy's freshman football games. The first game we went to was a disaster (for us and the football team). It took us over 45 min. to find the football stadium (thanks Ravenna for not posting an address on your website). When we got there, it was raining but Ally was crying from having been in the car for so long. So we got out anyway and hid under our giant umbrella while we hiked over to the visitors' bleachers. It was halftime when we arrived and the team was down 36 - 6. After standing there for about 10 min., Ally decided to spit up all over both of us. I had no rag because we left the diaper bag in the car. So, we stayed for about 10 more minutes, (long enough for the other team to score again) and we left. Fun trip.
Yesterday's game was better. It was sunny and we knew how to get to Green. Ally was more interested in the cross country boys than the football team. They were running around the track with their shirts off. She would follow them with her head turning to see them for as long as possible - so, she's either going to be a runner or we're going to have to keep her away from the boys! Oh yeah, the football team did win that game!
