When people think of the stereotypical pregnant woman, they generally think of two things: weird food cravings and a bad temper. I'm beginning to wonder where these stereotypes come from as I have yet to really experience either.
You'd have to consult Mike, but I feel in general that the awful temper has never been an issue for me. There was one incident that I was really mad at him, but that was before we knew about baby and involved softball on our anniversary. I think that was warranted. Since then, not much anger. Lots of whining, but I'm not mad. But, then again, I've never had much of a temper and have always been whiny.
There were a few occasions during the early months that I really wanted ketchup. Not sure why, but I did eat it rather frequently, though that food affair has since cooled off. Mike would have told you that I was craving Oreos, because they were a frequent evening snack, but as I told him so many times I need extra calcium and why drink milk by itself when there are Oreos. Lately the only food that I really 'crave' are Panera salads. Who craves salads? I'm not sure it is a real craving, I just really like to have one once a week. Maybe baby is a rabbit, or vegetarian in the making. I had a friend who told me that she woke up and had to have orange juice right then in the middle of the night. She made some and drank the whole pitcher. I have yet to experience that. Not once have I said, I want to eat any kind of food right now. Though writing about food is making me hungry... I just don't know for what.
Guess I'll just have to keep waiting on that craving for pizza with pickles topped with icecream, maybe I'm not so hungry after all.

Oreos... oh my gosh. You'd be amazed what you start craving when you walk through grocery stores and don't see certain foods on shelves. The cookie section is awful here. (Actually, they call cookies "biscuits" and "cookies" are just the big ones with chocolate in them.) All I can find is a very small selection of "biscuits". I might look for an international food market, since america now falls under that category, haha.
Glad to hear you're not craving anything too strange. I heard about someone who craved soap when she was pregnant. (I didn't bother to ask questions.)
I can relate to the latter part about cravings. There have been times I would love to put my mouth under a Wendys chocolate frosty dispenser and turn it on!!!!!!!!! Kinda like the Redi-whip frosting spray cans we gulped as kids. Never the urge for ketchup-catsup-keechup-catch-up.
