Happy 3rd Birthday Ally!

She's been a party girl since the day she was born, probably because Aunt Jamie got her a cake for her birth.

 Ally day 1.

 Year 1.

Year 2.

Year 3.

Ally's pink drum cake per her 3rd birthday request.

I am looking forward to the next year of Ally.  She is becoming so independent, social, and conversational.  Every day she comes up with something new that makes me laugh.  Yesterday she went to the store with me and as I hit the gas out of the allotment she told her Backpack "here we go!  Mommy's going fast, hold on Backpack, I got you!"
There are a few things that I will miss about 2 year old Ally.  Like the following word mispronuncuations:
Yergit - yogurt
Quappalo - quatro
Lellow - yellow
The X Center - the Rec Center where they recently held an expo - a rather efficient nick name
And of course there are more but my mind is totally blank.  Also, she often speaks with an odd twang in her voice that reminds me of the kid from Talledega Nights.
I will miss her quirky songs, her love of cereal for every meal (makes cooking much easier), her blind faith despite a gazillion questions, her pure innocence, her energy, her devotion to Bear and the brown butterfly dress, and possibly nap time.  And then there is her intense enthusiasm.  When she is really excited about something she makes this sound that is an intensely serious exclamation of wonder.  I hope that lasts for awhile because it doesn't take much to get that reaction.
But I am also looking forward to all of the fun that I will have with 3 year old Ally.  She is understanding more, expressing herself better, and learning so much (hopefully to use the potty).  I have a feeling that it will be a wild, crazy, exciting year.  And to kick it off we are celebrating with an Easter egg hunt with our friends followed by another band themed birthday party!
