The Best Time of Year...

Right now Ohio weather could not be more perfect.  We took advantage of it today with a trip to the park.  Both Ally and Aaron had a great time on the swings and Ally ran around making sure not to miss any of the slides.  She has really developed her climbing ability and can scale just about any of the ladders etc. that lead up to the slides.
An additional highlight of visiting the park today was a very up close glimpse of the Goodyear blimp.  Ally loves the blimp, she has for awhile, so we were really excited to see it headed our way at the park.  The blimp was flying pretty low (it is hard to see that in the pictures) and it flew directly over the park.  It even seemed to make an arc out in its flight just to go over us.  Needless to say Ally was rather happy about it.
Another part of fall in Ohio is football season.  While I don't particularly get excited for it, Ally does.  She's not really a football fan, she just really likes the band and she got to go see them Friday night.  Thankfully Mike can get us into home games for free so we can go, watch the band, and leave.  Although on Friday Ally wanted to watch some football too.  I think there was just so much to see she didn't want to leave.  But, she really enjoyed both of the bands.  Garfield had a mascot with them (a white ram that Ally referred to as an elephant.  This caused some confusion as I kept looking for the elephant.  Luckily Pop-pop figured it out.)  She danced to the music and informed us that one day she will play the violin in the band.  She may be the first violinist in a marching band.   She did enjoy seeing the blue guitar that the Tallmadge band had.  I thought seeing the band would hold her band fix over for awhile, but she is already talking about seeing them again, along with fireworks.  If you hear about a high school football game with fireworks at half-time, please let me know.
On Saturday Aaron's first little tooth popped through and he took it like a champ - aided by Tylenol :)  He really wasn't too bad about it.  I first noticed that he seemed to have a bit of a fever.  While searching for his binkie I let him gnaw on my finger and that was when I felt the tooth.  So, he got a bit of medicine for the fever and pain and was fairly happy after that.  He did sleep a little less one night and has been a little more clingy, but he is really excited about soon being able to eat more solid foods.
Also on Saturday we had an unexpected play date with Carter and Jackson.  Carter is probably one of Ally's most favorite people and you could tell she was excited as soon as he showed up.  They raced upstairs where Ally started up an endless string of chatter.  Ally would say something like "Carter, this is a candle.  Can you say candle?"  To which Carter would respond "Huh?"  This went on for quite awhile with Ally talking away and Carter responding "Huh?"  I had to remind her that he know how to talk.
We also discovered that even though Aaron is 3 months older than Jackson they are the same size.  They didn't play too much, Aaron spent the first 20 minutes just intently watching Jackson.  Then they posed for a few photos and Jackson took a nap.  Ally and Carter did play quite a bit, their game of choice was 'doctor.'  Pop-pop gave Ally a doctors kit, so they used that.  Apparently Ally repeatedly told Carter that she was sick, he must be a good doctor because she is all better now.
The final excitement for the week is Ally's temporary pet.  Buddy gets to stay with Ally for a bit this week.  She really enjoys getting to see her favorite puppy all of the time.
