Lately Aaron has been becoming more attached to Mommy. It is nice that he so dearly loves me, but it can be a bit inconvenient for others. The worst of it seems to be that he won't sleep much for anyone other than me. He will nap if you take him on a stroll or a ride in the car, but those snoozes don't last long. Occasionally he'll nap while Mike holds him, but those haven't been lasting long either. Today at church he was really unhappy as he was so tired but would not go to sleep. I've been working on getting him to go to bed without being rocked to sleep, so maybe once he is more accustomed to that he'll be better at working himself to sleep.Aaron had a well check up on Monday. He weighed in at 16 lbs 12 oz and measured 27 in. Despite the fact that people are continually saying that he seems big, this puts him in the 10th - 25th percentile for weight and the 25th - 50th for weight. I figured this was the case as he still easily fits into most 3 - 6 month clothes. I guess we should get him together with all those runts people think he is bigger than :) Although he does eat like a big boy. Lately he seems to prefer his baby food to the formula and will finish off two larger jars with ease. He also prefers to eat with the rest of us, so mommy eats cold dinners after Aaron is done.
A new favorite past time for Aaron has been bouncing in his exersaucer. (They put him in one at church that didn't bounce and he got a bit mad.) He spends lots of time happily bouncing away as you can see below. He has also be playing with his sister more (well, really more like playing with her toys). But, he has taken an interest in books and we caught the two of them on the floor together last week as Ally read Aaron a book. Sadly there was no camera readily available for that picture-perfect moment.
