I Got Worms...

...ok so they are not real worms, we have computer worms...and viruses...and infections...and lots of other problems. I made the mistake of opening an infected e-mail (it said Hallmark postcard - who wouldn't open it?) and now my pc is infected :( It's actually not running too poorly, I'm just worried about our files being stolen and our computer sending out more viruses to other people if we are on the internet. So, I've spent the last two days working on getting my laptop connected to the internet. If I had realized that all I had to do was reset the modem it would have taken much less than 2 days and I would have a much smaller headache.
I have also been tearing the house apart looking for the system recovery disks that came with the pc. I was sure we had some but they are nowhere to be found. I did find lots of other fun things, like: my old baseball card collection, about 10 surge protectors (now I'm ready for Christmas lights!), Mike's missing phone charger, some curtains I'd been looking for, books I wrote when I was in 2nd grade, an Acme gift card, several screw drivers, Subway stamps (too bad I can't redeem them), remotes to who know what, and lots of other junk. On the upside our office is a bit more organized. I did find the recovery disks for the laptop and since it is only about a year older than the pc I'm considering trying to use them.
Anyway, Ally is doing great. She was a bit sick of being in the office today while I messed with the computer, but she's happily asleep now. She has started to do the 'indian noise' trick on her own. She does it with her fist balled up but still manages to make the noise. She will also smack your hand if you put it out there for her, granted she'll smack anything she can, even herself. She's working on clapping and waving, neither are quite there, but she'll make the effort most of the time. We had lots of fun looking out the window at the snow yesterday - I'm pretty sure that was the first snow she's ever seen on the ground.
Ally is definately better at rolling and scooting. She gave me a scare yesterday. I was upstairs getting ready for work and she was playing in the living room where I could easily hear her. She started crying, but she often does that when I'm not in the room with her. I hurried up and as I got downstairs her crying was harder, but I did not see her! I thought that she'd rolled down the stairs or off the ledge (impossible with the new gate) but I found her stuck under the couch. She'd gone about 10 feet from where I'd left her - thank goodness we got that gate!
Ally is also very excited that she has two new friends, Sydney and Lilly, that were both born in the past 2 weeks. We are very excited for our friends and their families!
Sorry there are no pictures today - part of the computer issues that I just don't feel like dealing with right now, I'd rather go eat some lunch while Ally is still napping :)
